The panel, part of the Capacity Balkans 2010 conference, held on 12-13 April in Bucharest, Romania, enabled top managers of local, regional and international telecommunications companies to discuss several topics including: Assessing the role of Ethernet as an access technology in the region, opportunities to build new capacity - connecting to Turkey, Albania, Serbia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, options for connecting in the region - new data centres and co-location facilities and regulatory pressure on incumbents to enable Ethernet access.
