The telecommunications company Neterra signed a collaboration agreement with the oldest Bulgarian university- SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Neterra will provide anonymous data to the SU students. The telematics data is part of the tracking platform for vehicles, Netfleet. It will be provided to the students from the Masters degree “Business Analytics”, part of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The students are expected to give suggestions for the analytical references and indicators, which will help Netfleet`s users to make decisions for their auto park management.
“The students really need to apply their knowledge into practice, using a real business environment. We are happy that a company, such as Neterra, offered us the opportunity to get involved in this Masters degree. Working with real business challenges is the best preparation for the labour market”, explains Ph. D Boryana Bogdanova, a lecturer in the “Business Analytics” degree, part of the Economics and Business Administration faculty (Sofia University).
“We, at Neterra, constantly seek for innovative decisions and ideas. This is the reason why we believe that our collaboration with Sofia University will be beneficial for both sides. The students will be exposed to the real needs of the companies and in return we will get fresh ideas, with a different perspective.”, adds Martin Haylezov, Netfleet`s Product Manager.
The Masters degree “Business Analytics” aims to prepare specialists with up-to-date skills and knowledge, adaptive and willing to change according to the conditions. These specialists should also have theoretical knowledge, practical skills and competencies for independent professional work and team-working skills in order to investigate data from the applied sciences areas.
