NetIX, a global platform for internet exchange, connectivity, and peer-to-peer solutions, part of the Neterra Group, has announced a partnership with Limelight Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: LLNW), a leading provider of content delivery and AppOps at the edge. The partnership will improve the user experience for thousands of Limelight viewers and customers in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
By positioning itself at the Neterra SDC in Sofia, Bulgaria, Limelight can now deliver content to the customers in these regions more quickly by caching content from its ecosystem locally. This allows Limelight to connect to new customers in the region, expand its global reach, and deliver content more broadly.
“As part of our client success and performance improvement strategies, we’ve increased our capacity in key markets that are important to our customers,” said Dougal McMillan, Director of Strategic Initiatives Partnerships at Limelight. “Working with NetIX, we’re able to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure user experience to customers across the Balkans and the CIS region.”
