From May 14 to May 16, 2008 Bulgaria hosted for the first time the International Annual Forum of telecom operators from all over the world - OSS/ICDS (One-Stop-Shopping/Inter-Carrier Data Services). Organizer of the prestigious event was the Bulgarian Telecommunications company Neterra, which is one of the two Bulgarian companies members of the forum and at the invitation of which the prestigious annual meeting took place in Bulgaria, at the "Riviera" resort.
As it happens every year, representatives of big international telecom operators from different continents met to discuss opportunities and ideas for development and elaboration of IPLC - International Private Leased Circuits and the OSS procedures. The event was conducted in the mode of discussion work groups, reports, presentations and new solutions in this sphere. The Bulgarian company Neterra presented its new DWDM national network covering a range of 24 cities all over the country and a possibility for capacity of 400 Gbps, as well as the BFOR (Balkan Fiber Optic Ring) for transit transfer of big capacities all over the Balkans.
The main aim of the forum is to facilitate and improve the global provision of IPLC services, to make them easier for assimilation by consumers through Single Point of Contact.
