In May 2026, one of the world's biggest cycling races passed through Bulgaria, and Neterra stood behind its live broadcast to millions of viewers. In just three days, the company built the event's communication network - internet connectivity for 17 key zones across Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, and Sofia, including the main communication hub with 300 connection points.

The hybrid solution combined fiber, 5G, and satellite capacity with intelligent switching and redundancy at every level so that during the decisive minutes of the finale the network ran at full capacity and the world experienced the event live. The Client

One of the biggest and most iconic cycling races in the world. The event is broadcast live across the globe and followed by millions of viewers.

Its Bulgarian stages passed through Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, and Sofia, with the finish in front of the National Assembly in Sofia.

The Challenge

A live global broadcast allows no interruption, not even for a second. The network has to perform at full capacity at exactly the moment the pressure peaks: the finish, watched live by millions.

The Solution

Neterra designed the network with fiber optics, mobile rack systems, Wi-Fi zones, Starlink redundancy, and UPS power supply.

The company provided internet connectivity for 17 key zones across the three host cities. At an event of this scale, there is no room for risk. That is why the team built a multi-layered redundancy system with at least two independent fiber lines, backed up by 5G and Starlink at the most critical points.

In the days before the start, the teams laid fiber between the TV trucks, configured mobile racks and Wi-Fi access points, tested every line, and connected the technical broadcast area truck by truck.
