Many friends, colleagues and partners from the Internet industry, Bulgarian TV and radio channels, foreign satellite and telecommunication operators, bank institutions, and journalists gathered together and had fun at "The End of The Monopoly Party", organized by Neterra. The event took place in the mild Friday evening (May 30) on the lawn in front of Sofia Teleport. There we all celebrated the end of the State Monopoly in the Bulgarian telecommunications,as the jazz band Infinity performed all evening for our guests and the barbeque and the quality drinks left pleasant memories in everybody.
The dream became a reality when with decisions No.400 and No.237 from April 24 and March 27, 2003 the Bulgarian Commission for Regulation of Communications granted Neterra Ltd. two licenses allowing it to offer services over data networks and to connect to other international telecommunications operators' networks.
Thus, Neterra became the first operator in Bulgaria to be licensed to offer international connectivity after 1 January 2003 - the expiration of the monopoly of Bulgarian Telecommunications Company.
Neterra offers Internet backbone connectivity and international leased lines.
Services will be offered through the company facilities Sofia Teleport and the newly built Rousse Telecom Center.
