Neterra received a silver Annual Donation Badge ‘Responsible Company - Responsible Employees’ for its initiatives in support of public causes in 2020. The company and its employees make year-round donations, incl. on a payroll, organize charity campaigns and help for various causes through personal participation.
Among the examples is a spontaneous Easter donation campaign, carried out on the idea of the software specialist from Neterra Martin Hailezov. In a short email, he inspired 83 of his colleagues to donate their food vouchers given to them by Neterra for the holiday to people who had lost their jobs and were in need because of the COVID-19 situation.
The employees collected BGN 4,710, and Neterra decided to double the donation by another BGN 4,710. Thus, nearly BGN 10,000 were distributed to the Orphanage “St. Nikolai” at the Monastery “St. Trinity” in Novi Khan, “Come with us” Foundation, “Gambrinus” campaign, “Bulgarian Food Bank”, “Invisible Dinner” initiative, “Ole Male” Foundation, “On the front line in the fight against COVID-19” campaign.
Neterra has been providing monthly financial support for the school in the village of Rusalya, where socially disadvantaged children are educated. The company supports the campaign "Caps for the future", pays the subscription for publications needed at the community center in the village of Todorovo, supports the construction of a Monument to the heroes of the Battle of Doiran.
In connection with the COVID-19 situation, the Bulgarian telecom donated computers and monitors, necessary for the distant learning of children from the Municipality of Elin Pelin. The company assisted for the purchase of a blood plasma device in a blood bank - Pleven and financially supported the initiative "A Bite of Hope" - hot food for doctors on the front line.
Neterra donated the budget of BGN 5,000, set for the company's Christmas campaign. The funds were distributed to the Arton Foundation and the Education and Health Association.
The award ‘Responsible Company - Responsible Employees’ is presented for the seventh consecutive year by the BCause Foundation, the Bulgarian Association for People Management (BAUH), the Bulgarian Society for Public Relations (BDVO) and the Bulgarian Association of CSR Specialists (BAKSOS). This year the ceremony was held online.
