Neterra received a bronze Annual Donation Award ‘Responsible Company - Responsible Employees’ from the BCause Foundation for its initiatives in support of important causes in 2021.

The company and its employees make year-round donations, incl. on a payroll, organize charity campaigns and help various causes through personal participation.

One of the examples given by the jury was the support for the children of refugees in Bulgaria even before the crisis with Ukraine. For the start of the 2021/2022 school year, Neterra employees have made personal financial donations to purchase textbooks for these children. The telecom doubled the amount collected. Donors were also involved in selection, purchase, and distribution.

Neterra's managers and employees are also actively involved in campaigns in support of refugees from the war in Ukraine, providing their vacant homes and rooms to accommodate those in need. They also provide fugitives with financial support and transportation. Boxes for financial donations from employees are located in the company's offices, and Neterra doubles the amounts collected.

Neterra employees also traditionally participate in the ‘Caps for the Future’ campaign (collection of plastic caps for the purchase of incubators for premature babies). They are also collecting old batteries and phones in support of the ‘Collect for Life’ student initiative, which aims to recycle and turn old and obsolete phones into trees.

In 2021, a team of Neterra employees took part in the Run2Gether marathon to support the social inclusion of people with disabilities.

Neterra employees are making a conscious effort to live and work in a way that minimizes their personal carbon footprint.

The BCause Foundation Award is presented for the eighth consecutive year in partnership with the Bulgarian Association for People Management (BAUH), the Bulgarian Public Relations Association (BDVO) and the Bulgarian Association of CSR Specialists (BAKSOS).
